The USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Southern California (USC Norris) was founded in 1971 and has been continuously funded as an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center since 1973. USC Norris has a rich tradition of collaborative research and serves as a major regional and national resource for cancer research, prevention, treatment, and education.
The USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Administrative Assistant to join the Cancer Center Administrative Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant will focus on supporting the population science and translational science divisions of the Cancer Center. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for: the Cancer Epidemiology and Cancer Control Research Programs; the leadership positions of Associate Director for Population Science, Associate Director for Translational Research, and Chief Innovation Officer; and administrative support for ten Disease Affinity Groups (DAGs). Example duties of the position include:
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings for senior Cancer Center leaders and large groups
- Planning and organizing events, including creating invitations, working with vendors, and managing the execution of events onsite
- Overseeing the organization and scheduling of multiple DAG meetings and tracking meeting metrics
- Composing and producing correspondence, reports, and related materials
- Researching and gathering data for reports and Cancer Center leader decision support
The hourly rate range for this position is $25.48 - $30.28.
